PARKING UPDATE 2: INFORMATION BY LUKE SORENSON
We have just been informed of some changes to our previous post. Please see new maps below.
Parking alongside the clubhouse will now be for coaches, staff and committee only. This is to ensure our coaches and staff can function correctly and timely for the benefit of all players and members during this period.
We have been told there is options to park at either of the Rugby Club's car parks, and for our players and members to use these spaces and make the short walk to the club.
From Monday the 19th of February until April 22nd 2018 inclusive, the areas of our entire western car park and flowing on to the entire netball courts will be shut down for the exclusive use of Commonwealth Games staff and crews. It will NOT be accessible for soccer patrons or any other users. The area is marked with a red border in the attached image.
The areas in Green will be open for parking and the areas in Orange will remain as either NO parking or NSC Committee/Coaches parking only. Please do not park on yellow lined areas or unsafe areas. Please do not park on any footpaths or pedestrian pathways or access points under any circumstances. Please park legally.
As there is no suitable public transport servicing our club precinct, we suggest the following and ask people to plan ahead for their training and game days.
This is unfortunately a painful interruption but nonetheless it is temporary one-off and we will resume normal parking post-Games.
PARENTS: please note there will be a significant increase in both pedestrian traffic and car traffic during this period as Games staff use our facilities. We urge you to speak with your children and take extra care during this period. Please be vigilant with supervision and observation so that our little Eagles are well looked after and don't encounter any dangers from the vehicles, roadways, extra people around etc etc. You may have to walk a little way to get to the club so please keep your kids close and cross roads and spaces with caution.
DRIVERS: Please slow down and be extra alert for pedestrians, kids and any other obstacles about the place during this period.
VISITORS: Please respect the club, our family environment and our community when visiting or using our precinct.
We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding during the time, and most of all, look out for one another of course!
