April 25th, 2017 at Nerang Soccer Club started with a minute silence ANZAC Day led by Gary Scott - Director of Instruction at the Academy of Football Australia. Over 80 coaches, players, family and friends participated in the ceremony.
Congratulations - Charlie Dixon! Charlie and approximately 90 young players from across Australia and New Zealand took part in the Celtic FC Elite Player Program held in Brisbane earlier this month. Charlie was chosen to attend Celtic FC in Scotland later this year, where he will take part in a football adventure of a lifetime. Great work, Charlie - congratulations to all that helped Charlie along the way family, friends, coaches and as he said in his speech last night 'his team mates'. Charlie, you are a credit to the AFA spirit - we are all proud and very excited for you and the opportunities ahead. Some happy snaps from last night... Nerang And Gold Coast Juniors Above Expectations Of Celtic Academy Coaches It’s not just the ability on the field, it’s the whole package that’s impressed the Celtic FC International Academy coaches this week at the first ever Celtic FC coaching clinic and training camp ever held in Queensland. P.J. and Graham from Scotland have been very impressed, and despite pushing our squads and players hard, are lumping praise on both the players and the local coaches for their strong football commitment and discipline.
