![]() In 2016 we achieved Premierships, Grand Final wins, Gold Coast Champions Cup wins, and had a very successful tour of the UK. These commendable achievements were possible because the players committed to our programs, the coaches were committed to the players, the club was committed to AFA, and the parents supported their kids. These successes are not a privilege, they come from a lot of hard work by many people. The hard work for 2017 begins next week, and we plan on taking our Academy and Club to an even higher level next season. Post-season training starts at 4:30PM next Monday the 10th of October. All current members are expected to commit to the program, with the exception of the boys who toured the UK, who can take an extra week off if they need it. New players are welcome. If you are keen to train hard, do yourself a favour and come and have a trial run with us. First couple of sessions are free.

Karamoko is also being called the 'new Messi', you can see hia footwork, inspirational.
Who has heard about the 13 year old Celtic boy (known as the boy wonder), Karamoko Dembele, debuting for the Celtic U20 side this week? Well, here is our very own U14 star, Joel Bruggy, going head to head with him in the UK last year.
A number of our boys had the privilege to play against Marcus Rashford in Northern Ireland the year before that too. These are the sorts of experiences and opportunities that AFA aim to provide for our dedicated players...more stories like this to come for those who have the desire... ![]() AFA coaches, Gary Scott and Darrell Olive, with one of our up and coming Academy stars, Matty Ng. Matty is one of many boys who have come to the Academy as a raw junior, but has the desire to work hard and succeed. He has certainly achieved a lot in 2016, but there are even bigger and better things coming Matt. Keep working hard! If you are a young footballer who has the drive to work hard to achieve your dreams, you can take part in AFA's 10-week post-season training program starting on the 10th of October.
